You are not 'up in your head'

There are relaxing meditations, there are focus meditations, and then there are meditations in which one comes back with ideas and experiences.

I was doing night time meditation with my flourite (a gemstone/cut crystal) skull and was holding it near my base of my chest and ribs, near my center, often referred to as the solar plexus.

All was quiet and dark with eyes closed.

Then everything went weebly wobbly. Imagine a visual graphic effect of a pruple vortex , like in a lower budget science fiction movie or series but feeling pulled in.

I saw the skull larger than actual size in comparison it was quite huge for a flash of a moment.

In another flash of a moment I was - my whole 'body' - was inside looking out.

You don't just - you aren't just "up there" . In your head. Like you are renting out an apartment or space. "You" , and your mind / spirit , are larger than your head, larger than your body, and is not centered there up in a bone, cavity, or organ.

March 19 AMZ stock prediction

The question: I decided , for giggles to do a read on the stock AMZ march 19

“Hold” off(hanged man), I would regret or suffer if I went forward on this (chariot). I’d lose my pants (fool)if I am naive (fool) They face economic problems (scales on Justice) or worse, legal ( justice). Synthesis: Death. Well not a good sign for investing for sure. With death there is loss.

On vulnerability and tarot

As part of the Tarot Rebels Blog Hop,  our topic we had decided on was vulnerability and tarot.
What kind of prompted this was a large group of this was dealing with shadow work, or work of readings that deal with facing the inner parts of ourselves we might deny, or problems we kind of ignore and don't deal with.

In my experience, there are a few basic situations of people getting readings of any kind, tarot or any other method.

The first type of person is someone just randomly curious, never had a reading, and want the experience just as an experience, or for fun.

The second type of person is someone who has a practical day to day problem, and of course the top few are relationships, work and career, and money types of questions.

But then you also have also clients or seekers that really want to work more with spiritual growth as well.

Occasionally a client or seeker will ask if it is "ok" if their friend sits with them. My answer to this always is it is fine with me, it doesn't affect me, but I want you to really think about that I will read what comes up in the reading, so there is no telling what might be exposed that your friend will see and hear as well, so be sure you are fine with that , and your relationship with the friend is pretty solid.

Sometimes people are resistant to get readings for - wait for it - they feel vulnerable. They don't want to feel exposed. They may not be ready to face or deal with issues, or let alone let a stranger reveal something to them.

In all cases though, vulnerability is sometimes necessary to expose or reveal issues before helping, or healing can begin. Clarity requires exposing, and exposing deals with vulnerability.

I personally promise to keep your information as confidential as possible, and I strive to be empathic to relate to your emotions, as well as to be non judgmental about any question.
All questions are important and all matter.

My first big read and interview with the Mary El Tarot

I’m usually not a “let’s interview the tarot deck” personHowever when I received the Mary El Tarot , I thought that an interview might be in order.
The spread I used is as follows:
1     2     3
4     5     6

1.      Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic?
2.      What are your strengths as a deck?
3.      What are your limits as a deck?
4.      What are you here to teach me?
5.      How can I best learn and collaborate with you?
6.      What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?

And then I pulled another card for How do you like to work with querants/seekers/clients?

1.       Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic? Queen of swords. The queen of swords is often translated as truthful to the point of being critical. The combination of the raven/crow and the eye reminds me of various messengers of prophecy, or scouts. Odin. This deck she speaks what she sees. By no small coincidence, I have also received recently the book Queen of Swords by R.S. Belcher as well. All the messages!
2.       What are your strengths as a deck?  Queen of Wands. Book notes refer to the Queen of Wands in shorthand as creates an environment of spirit. She is not the high priestess or the hierophant or the magician, dealing with religion, science, teaching, or will, but she fosters growth.
3.       What are your limits as a deck? Ten of Disks. This deck isn’t for parties or family time, and prefers not to read mundane. Not a quick deck to master.
4.       What are you here to teach me? Ten of Cups. Fullness of spirit.  Time flies. Choose your connections.
5.       How can I best learn and collaborate with you? Three of Cups  Building relationship and creativity . Read what you see.  “Fill yourself” . Go to Source.
6.       What is the potential outcome of our working relationship? Book notes shorthand is initiators of body. Page of disks . Wow. Not an ace beginning of a certain aspect, but a new start that is nurtured . Not just the seed, but also not complete. Tenderly aware. Bliss of a baby.  Sheltered and carried. Book keywords are have faith in your own abilities, you were made for this. Perfection in form. Be grounded and in the moment. Take your skills and walk forward in life. The focus on sandals, and newly formed baby feet haven’t walked much, but are ready.
And then I pulled another card for How do you like to work with querants/seekers/clients? The Mary El likes to help people grow emotionally, it seems, as well as to work with reflective, and deep readings.

The Mary El Tarot is not an "easy" deck, and not a deck that has books and books upon it. But tarot is tarot, and I appreciate being challenged to dive in a bit on this one.

Have you ever lost faith in the tarot?

The other day, on an online forum, someone had asked if I had ever lost faith in the Tarot.

My response.

As a matter of fact it exists. As a matter of experience, I have found using the Tarot to be effective.

Tarot does not require ever having faith, so there is no faith to be lost, or found for that matter.  As a tool, like a hammer. Used effectively, by a skilled person can create or will create the desired result.

I have always found tarot to be useful. To show or reveal new perceptions of the situation, yes. To give a hint or peek at the likely outcome, yes. To reflect or meditate upon, yes.

I am human, and therefore receiving things through a human perception. Reading the tarot is telling the story of what I see, so I am telling you always what I see at the time.

To say I am perfect, is too much ego. The greatest chef sometimes burn a dish or have a cake fall. As it is with tarot.

I will say I am confident in my use of the tarot, to provide answers, to provide the thoughts and story for contemplation.
